Purchased the 4×12 cabinet along with my DG-50. This goes together like peanut butter and jelly. The cabinet and speaker combination is half of the equation. A lot will over look which cabinet to pair with a particular amp. Don’t miss out! Grab a Hi-tone cabinet!! Simply the best there is!!!

I was looking for a vintage HIWATT 4X12 with no luck, I happened across a few TGP forum threads mentioning and praising Hi-Tone cabinets. The more I investigated the more intrigued I was about purchasing one. I contacted Clayton and had a few stipulations, I wanted the “knuckle busters” handles and skids on the bottom like a vintage HIWATT cab. Clayton sayed “no problem” so I ordered the cabinet and in a few short weeks it arrived. I was blown away by the quality, fit, and finish. This cabinet rocks!!! The DR-F speakers are wonderful! Do not hesitate to try a HI-Tone cabinet, hopefully in the future I can match it up with a Hi-Tone amplifier!

I own an original 1972 SE4122 Hiwatt 4×12 and can say that the Hi-Tone cabinet is a totally superior build in all ways. It retains the great, exacting aesthetic of the original but updates little things that are so smart. Like the handles are now so much easier to pickup and don’t strain your hand from the inside the way the old ones did. But you can’t even see that from looking at it. More importantly, the sound: there is a tidal wave of luxurious power pouring out of the cabinet. It’s a very “total” sound when standing in the room with the cab. The speakers are unbelievably good; they should be considered tops for Fane fans in modern times, and they work tremendously well together with the cabinet. It really doesn’t get any better this. And neither does Hi-Tone’s customer service. Above and beyond, just like the sound.
