This amp has to be played to be understood. It an era where everyone and his friend are building “boutique” amplifiers, Hi-Tone is doing something that surpasses everything else, including modern day equivalents of the originals. As a musician for 30 years I’ve had many amps and have been privileged to play a lot. Hiwatt has been a favorite of mine for many years. A friend recommended Hi-Tone to me as I was wanting a modern build and something that would have life for many years to come. I went with Hi-Tone DG and a 4×12 cabinet. Let’s just say this is as good and better as any era Hiwatt I’ve played or owned. Even the Hylight era amps.

I’m a huge Gilmour fan and he was the reason I started playing guitar at the age of 11. You would have to play this amp to see what his tone is all about. It’s the building block to David’s enormous tone. But that’s just the beginning. This amp will cover ANY tone you’d want. I play modern chicken pickin and this amp is excellent for that also!

Listen folks if you’re wanting an end all amp with “the tone” look no further. Clayton builds the most beautiful and meticulous circuits you’ll ever encounter. Excellent service and communication. I’m already saving for the JP amp now! Thanks Clayton!!

    I recently received this amp.
    This amp is a monster!

Sounds like a monster. Standing in front of the amp, I feel literally beaten with a baseball bat.
It’s also one of the most responsive amps I’ve ever used. It doesn’t get in the way.
A British sound different from Marshall and Vox. It’s big and loud, but silky. It’s really hard to describe the sound in words πŸ™‚

Exactly the sound you hear on the album, a true replica of HIWATT.
